In der 5-Elemente-Lehre werden die Knochen dem Element Wasser zugeordnet, das wiederum mit den Nieren, der Blase und den Sexualorganen verbunden ist. In den Hohlräumen der Knochen entwickelt sich das Knochenmark, das wiederum eine wichtige Rolle bei der Blutbildung spielt. Zur Stärkung der Knochen umfasst Bone Marrow Nei Kung zum einen Übungen zur effektiven Unterstützung durch die Nutzung der sexuellen Energie sowie eine Klopftechnik der Meridiane, die den Stärkungsprozess der Knochen erheblich fördern.
