First public presentation of UHT Formulas 8 and 9 from GM Mantak Chia's Universal Healing Tao® System
The 2026 Berlin workshop presented an integrated intensive training in the complete Taoist-alchemical pathway of Mantak Chia's Universal Healing Tao® Formulas 8 and 9. Participants were guided through the full progression of Sealing of the Five Senses, Ecstatic Spirit Flight, and Grand Completion, experiencing the practices as a unified and coherent system.

Rather than studying each cauldron and formula as separate multi-year modules, the workshop employed an accelerated and immersive format that allowed practitioners to experience the entire alchemical journey while maintaining substantial depth of practice and understanding.
The training also marked the first public presentation of previously unpublished material from the advanced Taoist-alchemical curriculum developed by Grandmaster Mantak Chia and Andrew Jan. It serves as a foundation for future advanced trainings, upcoming books, and professionally produced instructional videos, where each stage of the system will be explored in considerably greater detail.
The workshop began with a day and a half revisiting the practice of UHT Formula 7 Sealing of the Five Senses, exploring a more refined approach to merging the senses into a unified field of awareness. Through this process, participants learned to move beyond ordinary perception and enter a deeper experiential field from which the higher alchemical practices unfold.
From this foundation we entered UHT Formula 8 – Ecstatic Spirit Flight - The Congress of Heaven and Earth. Over two days, participants undertook a streamlined journey through the Nine Cauldrons, moving progressively through the Lower Tan Tien, Solar Plexus, Heart, the Upper Tan Tien centres, the Energy Body, Saturn, and ultimately the South and North Celestial Pole Cauldrons. These were then merged into the Final Cauldron, creating a gateway to direct experiences of ecstatic spirit flight. Many participants reported profound states of joy, freedom, expansion, and encounters with symbolic or mythical guides that accompanied their journeys through the inner realms.
The final day and a half introduced UHT Formula 9 – The Grand Completion - Reunion of Human and Tao. Here, the emphasis shifted from expansion into dissolution and return. Participants learned to gather the multiplicity of experience into a single point within the Mysterious Pass, allowing access to the profound stillness of the Void. Through the Final Cauldron, the many became one, and the exploration moved from love of the universe to direct immersion within the unchanging ground from which all experience arises.
While this year’s training provided an overview of the complete journey, future workshops will explore these teachings in much greater depth.
Looking Forward to 2027
June 21–25, 2027 we will devote the entire advanced workshop to UHT Formula 8 Ecstatic Spirit Flight - The Congress of Heaven and Earth, spending significantly more time within each of the Nine Cauldrons. Participants will explore the unique qualities, insights, and transformations associated with every stage of the journey—from the grounding wisdom of the Earth Cauldron, through the awakening of the spiritual body and the vast perspectives of the Solar System Cauldron, to the cultivation of True Yang within the North Celestial Pole and True Yin within the South Celestial Pole.
These celestial forces will ultimately be united within the Final Cauldron, opening the gateway to ecstatic flight and the deeper exploration of the inner heavens. Particular emphasis will be placed on safe navigation, grounding, and return. The mythical Qilin, long associated with wisdom, harmony, and auspicious return, will serve as an important symbol for integrating these profound experiences into everyday life.
The 2027 training will therefore offer not only a journey through extraordinary states of consciousness, but also a practical and grounded framework for bringing the insights of Heaven and Earth back into the human world.
