Course Description
This course teaches the fundamentals of Taoist organ massage, as developed by Mantak Chia. Long ago, the Taoists discovered the importance of undisturbed organ function. Over time, this function can be disrupted by emotional stress, an unhealthy diet, and a lack of exercise. These factors can cause the fascial sheaths surrounding the organs to contract and become adhered. As a result of this reduced permeability, the organs are increasingly deprived of sufficient oxygen and nutrients. The individual components of the course are as follows:
Anatomical Knowledge
The relevant anatomical knowledge and its classification within the Five Elements System are introduced in stages throughout the course, in conjunction with the individual massage sequences.
Hand Techniques
In this first training level, the course focuses on various hand techniques and the use of the elbows to develop a sense of and sensitive awareness for the different body tissues.
Sequence of a Chi Nei Tsang® Session
The Chi Nei Tsang® 1 Course —Organ Detoxification—also includes detailed instructions on the entire sequence of a Chi Nei Tsang® session, broken down into single phases, each accompanied by anatomical knowledge.
Energetic Self-Protection
Since this is energetically demanding work, helpful protective precautions are taught for both practitioners and clients.
Organ Detoxification and Fascial Release
A carefully performed Chi Nei Tsang® massage can dissolve the knots and twists in the fabric that have formed in the abdominal cavity, thereby restoring full organ function. As these hardenings are dissolved, blocking toxins are released and flushed out through the body’s water balance. Blockages in the meridians located in the abdomen are also released, allowing the Qi to flow more freely. Since blockages are sometimes triggered by negative emotions, their release can also lead to an emotional transformation, allowing old conflicts to resurface so they can be addressed specifically.
Self-Massage
To gain a better understanding and feel for these techniques, it is helpful to first apply them to yourself—as much as possible. If you start by working on yourself regularly, you will quickly notice what needs to be changed and what you need to work on. This is because an essential part of a Chi Nei Tsang® session is that the client also receives guidance on self-massage and individual exercises and instructions for balancing their energy system, which they can then practice on their own.
Chi Nei Tsang® Training
Since Chi Nei Tsang® I serves as the foundation for all advanced levels, the majority of the instructional and practice hours required for certification are devoted to this level. The certification process requires that, after completing the basic course, 100 case studies be compiled—generally within two years. To pursue certification, the trainee first contacts a certified senior CNT teacher (LINK TO DATABASE). After completing the case studies and retaking the CNT basic course, the supervising CNT teacher reviews the case study reports, administers a brief theoretical exam, and gets a session by the trainee. Upon successful completion of the training, the trainee receives certification from the Universal Healing Tao® System. Only then is the trainee officially authorized to use the registered trademark “Universal Healing Tao®.”
