Chi Nei Tsang® is a traditional Taoist therapy form of healing contact with the hands, applied to the abdomen. It is used to stimulate and work on muscles located in the abdomen and associated tissues, organs (stomach, intestines liver gall spleen, pancreas, lungs) and parts of the body systems (circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems).

This level focuses on various hand techniques and the use of elbows to develop a feeling and sensitive awareness of different body tissues. The focus is on detoxifying and balancing the body through the organs and surrounding fascia. You will also learn to open pathways through which energy can be released and drained. For a better understanding and feeling, it is also helpful to apply these techniques - as much as possible - on yourself first. If you first work on yourself regularly, you will notice very early what needs to be changed and what needs to be worked on. An essential part of a session is that the client is given instructions for self-massage, and is given individual exercises and instructions for balancing their energy system.

In the 5 elements system, the assignments of emotions to organs are described, and especially negative emotions and experiences are stored in the organs and affect their function. It is believed that inner organ massage specifically removes these blockages, prevents stagnation of blood flow, improves energy flow in the abdomen, supports detoxification and improves the immune system. Also, negative emotions are transformed into harmonious state of being and the insight into one's own condition opens the chance for positive change.

The Universal Healing Tao®© System divides the Chi Nei Tsang®© massage system into 5 levels:

  1. UHT Chi Nei Tsang® I Detoxification of the organs;
  2. UHT Chi Nei Tsang® II Chasing the Winds;
  3. UHT Chi Nei Tsang® III Tok Sen;
  4. UHT Chi Nei Tsang® IV Karsei Nei Tsang;
  5. UHT Chi Nei Tsang® V Pulse of Life.

Grandmaster Mantak Chia learned and developed this very effective massage technique in his younger years and has since trained countless people in it. The aim of this massage is to release blockages that have developed over time in the form of tissue nodules, toxins and agglutinated fascia. The cause of these phenomena is stress and tension caused by negative emotions, improper diet and generally unhealthy lifestyle.
